Trump's Family Member Seeks Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut
The rising star has impressive online following
Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent backers as she begins her professional golf debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns multiple golf courses and often matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically told me to compete and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in only three events this year and holds position 461 in AJGA rankings.
Yet she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the best player worldwide," Kai stated.
"And he's a superior individual. He advised me to go out there, have fun, following the flow."
Kai will face some of top competitors in women's golf at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to wider groups, particularly reaching the next generation.
Kai boasts millions of followers and just introduced a personal fashion and living company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
