Two Charged Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
